Dosage

Acetazolamide (Diamox ): 125-250 mg 

Indications

Pseudotumor Cerebri

Seizure  

Altitude sickness: 250 mg Bid

125 mg -250 mg bid max 1 g (2-4 div dosage)

SE: common : fatigue, weakness, anorexia, dizziness, blurry vision, metallic taste, renal stones. Rare: Stevens-Johnson syndrome, seizures, aplastic anemia. Hypersensitive to drug or sulfonamides, hypoadrenalism, hyponatremia, hypokalemia

Interactions:

⬆️ cyclosporine, amphetamines, anticholinergic , Procainamide

⬇️ primidone. Lithium

⬆️Acetazolamide level : Salicylalate / Diflunisal (Dolobid)
